About WRAP-IT

Our Story

  

WRAP-IT is a trauma-informed court diversion and reentry program designed specifically for delinquent youth and justice-impacted adults.
We offer a powerful alternative to incarceration by partnering with:

  • Courts
     
  • Probation Officers
     
  • Schools
     
  • Reentry Agencies
     

Our focus is on first-time, non-violent, or at-risk individuals—creating real opportunities for change, healing, and accountability.

WRAP-IT is a trauma-informed, community-rooted initiative designed to disrupt cycles of incarceration, poverty, and disconnection. Through a 7-component model, WRAP-IT equips justice-involved youth and adults with the emotional tools, professional skills, and strategic support needed to heal, thrive, and lead.


 Our 7 Core Components 


1. WRAP-IT Core: Reentry & Family Reunification

  • Reentry planning and life stabilization
     
  • Family healing circles + mediation
     
  • Identification, housing, employment support
     

2. Court Diversion Arm: FRRS (Youth & Adults)

  • Court-aligned mentorship as sentencing alternative
     
  • 12–16 Week Cohorts | 6–12 Month Extended Court Model
     
  • DC Act 26-7 & SLAA-aligned behavioral compliance plans
     

3. WRAP-IT Workforce (in partnership with Intrinsics)

  • Access to trades, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurship
     
  • Resume + digital literacy + job coaching
     
  • Career placement and retention tracking
     

4. Mental & Emotional Wellness

  • Certified peer recovery support
     
  • Trauma healing & emotional regulation
     
  • Medical and wellness partnerships
     

5. Literacy & Legal Aid Navigation

  • Public benefit enrollment & housing legal support
     
  • Know-your-rights trainings + legal clinics

6. Youth Impact: Mentorship & Character Development

  • Youth Rangers hybrid leadership program
